Mortgage Applications for last week were up 1.4% overall, with purchases up 3% and refinances down 0.4%.
Initial Jobless Claims for last week were reported higher than expectations, coming in at 248K.
The ADP Employment Report posted 158K jobs created in June, missing expectations of 185K by 27K. This is still considered a strong report.
The BLS Jobs Report beat estimates of 179K by 43K, posting 222K jobs in June. April and May were both revised higher.
- Oakland county is the largest housing market in the state, with just over 6K homes listed for sale; followed by Washtenaw County with about 2,200 homes listed.
- Grand Rapids has an average of 23.9 days on the market.
The number of Americans who believe now is a good time to sell has hit a record high for the second consecutive month in June. Thirty-nine percent believe such, compared to 30% who believe it’s a good time to buy. We’ve said it before, we’ll say it again: it’s a good time to sell AND buy right now.
