People are loving the city of Ann Arbor and the surrounding area, with 40% of residential listings in Washtenaw County selling above list price in April.

According to a recent survey on how borrowers choose a mortgage lender, only 9 % of respondents said they searched the internet to find their lender. There’s value in referrals, with 29% saying they used a real estate agent referral and 18% used a friend or colleague referral.

The NAHB Housing Market Index for June dropped 2 points to 67 but is still a solid number measuring builder confidence.

Initial Jobless Claims for last week came in 6K less than expectations, at 237K.
